How Arrabal works: who is who, what each person can do and how things get done.
What Arrabal is
A platform for federated esports. Each organization is a node in a tree: the federation at the top and, below it, associations, leagues, clubs and organizers. From a node you see and manage what is below it, never what is above or beside it.
- Confederation No organizations below.
- Federation Can have below: Provincial association, League, Club, Organizer, University, Brand, School
- Provincial association Can have below: League, Club, Organizer, University, School

Types of user
One person can be several at once: for example, a registered player who is also her team's captain.
- Visitor
- No account. Reads the organization's website, the tournaments with their bracket and results, and checks a license with its QR.
- Registered person
- Has a profile with an Esports ID, the number that identifies them across the federation. Signs in with their email, sees their profile and licenses, pays for them and adds game accounts.
- Guardian of a minor
- Gives consent for a minor in their care to play, from the link that arrives by email, without creating an account.
- Captain
- Registers the team for tournaments, checks in and reports or confirms results.
- Role: Captain
- Official or referee
- Assigned per tournament by Esports ID. Settles disputes, sets results with a reason and awards a walkover when a team doesn't show up.
- Role: Referee
- Staff
- Does the node's daily work: registry, licenses, tournaments, teams and website. Doesn't assign roles or handle payments.
- Role: Staff
- Finance
- Sees payment orders, connects the payout account and reconciles bank transfers. Doesn't touch the registry or tournaments.
- Role: Finance
- Node admin
- Can do everything in their organization and those below: what staff and finance do, plus assigning roles, adding organizations and editing the node's details.
- Role: Administration
- Platform admin
- The Arrabal team. Creates federations and makes the changes no node can make to itself.
Roles and permissions
A role is assigned on an organization and applies to it and everything below; referees can also be assigned per tournament and captains per team. This table comes from the platform's actual permissions.

Step-by-step guides
Sign in with the email link
- Tap Sign in, at the top, and type your email.
- Tap Email me the link: the email arrives within a minute.
- Open the link on the same phone or computer where you asked for it.
- If it says the link doesn't work, ask for another one: each link works only once.
Claim your profile or affiliate your organization
- If your club already added you, sign in and go to My profile.
- Type your Esports ID and your ID number, or look the profile up by your email.
- If you got an invitation by email, tap Accept and sign in: the profile becomes yours.
- To affiliate a club or a league, fill in the website's affiliation form. Once it's approved, you get an email to open the panel.
Register a team for a tournament
- Open the tournament on the website while registration is open.
- Sign in: you see the teams you can register. A team is registered by its captain or its club.
- Tap Register. If someone is missing something (license, age, club), it says so right there.
- The registration stays pending until the organizer accepts it.
Check in
- When the organizer opens check-in, go to the tournament page.
- Tap Check in on your team.
- A team that doesn't check in before it closes is left out of the bracket.
Report and confirm a result
- Open your match from the tournament bracket.
- Enter each side's score and upload at least one screenshot or photo of the final screen.
- Tap Report result. Your opponent sees it with your evidence.
- Your opponent taps Confirm result and the winner moves on in the bracket.
Dispute a result
- If your opponent reported something wrong, open I don't agree on the match.
- Write the reason, upload your evidence and tap Dispute result.
- The tournament referee checks both sides' evidence and sets the result with a reason, or awards a walkover if a team didn't show up.
- Their decision is logged; if needed, they can reverse it with a reason.
Collect license payments
- In the panel, go to Payments and then Payout account: connect Mercado Pago or enter the bank details for transfers.
- Whoever has a pending license pays it from their profile; the order shows up in Payments.
- If they paid by bank transfer, check the receipt and tap Mark as paid.
Pay for your license
- Sign in and go to My profile: the pending license has the payment buttons.
- Tap Pay with Mercado Pago, or Pay by bank transfer and upload the receipt with the reference.
- Once the payment clears, the license becomes active with its QR and you get the receipt by email.
Edit the website
- In the panel, go to Website: you see the pages with their status, Published or Draft.
- Tap Edit: add, reorder or hide blocks and fill in the text in each language.
- Tap Preview before publishing.
- Tap Publish. News, officials, documents and sponsors are managed from the same section.
